Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI), formerly the Association for Convention Sales and Marketing Executives (ACME), is dedicated to fostering a spirit of collaborative success between convention sales professionals and their convention sales counterparts at convention centers, hotels and regional destination marketing organizations (DMOs).
“I have professionally and personally benefited from the relationships that I have fostered from being a member of CSPI. I know on any day, I can contact one of my colleagues at any center and/or destination, who is a member and they will assist me with providing past history of an event with-in days of the requests. In addition, I have been able to get immediate response to those wonderful "annual competitive surveys" that we all have to do for
our organizations. Our members are eager to assist.”
Stacey Knoppel, CSPI Past President
Director of Sales & Marketing at Baltimore Convention Center
“I joined CSPI many years ago to get a better understanding of convention centers and their
relationship with DMO’s. I believe that this organization has and continues to be very valuable in my day to day sales progression. The knowledge that I gained by networking with colleagues of CSPI has been phenomenal.”
Sandi Harvey, Former CSPI Board Member
Vice President of Sales at Meet AC
“I joined Convention Sales Professionals
International when it was initially founded as ACME so that I could have a resource of my peers to reach out to. As great as the meetings industry is at sharing knowledge, experiences and insight, CSPI filled a void that none of the other, great, professional organizations could. Having a live (or email) conversation with someone in the same position as I am in on a day to day basis, facing the same challenges and needs is just one of the great assets of my CSPI membership.”

Long standing member of CSPI and recipient of the 2013 Shawn Corwin-Myland award the new incoming Vice President of Sales for Meet AC (Atlantic City New Jersey) Sandi Harvey, has worked in the tourism and hospitality industry for more than 25 years. She made her debut in Atlantic City in 1983 as the Manager of Hotel Sales at the Sands Hotel & Casino.
Harvey gained a great amount of experience and grew her footprint by starting at the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority (ACCVA) in 1995. From there, she worked her way up through the ACCVA with various positions and landed in the sales department, which is where Harvey flourishes today with Meet AC.
Harvey has been responsible for productivity reporting, ensuring the sales team has the resources they need to meet their goals, and managing the synergy between the Atlantic City Convention Center and property partners.
“I am extremely excited to take on this new role as Vice President of Sales and to assist our team in exceeding our room night goals," Harvey said. "Throughout the years, I have continued to believe in the destination, which makes it easier to sell. If you believe it, you can achieve it!”
CSPI is so very excited for Sandi and wish her great success in her new role!
